The Royal Institute of British Architects awarded Camenzind Evolution its prestigious Worldwide Award for the Seewurfel development in Zurich, Switzerland. Just seven awards were made globally for projects in Japan, USA, Australia, Singapore and Brazil.
The judges commended the Seewurfel project: "The site, formerly industrial, has been transformed and the new development integrates happily with the surrounding historic and listed buildings…Particularly impressive is the new type of cladding panel which was developed for the project…. in addition to the richness afforded by the different coloured timbers, the glass surface of the cladding achieves a depth through random reflections of adjacent foliage, structures and passers-by."
