First multimodal transportation hub in Mexico
Mexipuerto is an urban transit project that seeks to solve an urgent problem in Mexico City and its metropolitan area, namely the smooth transfer of users from one mode of transportation to another. This problem has developed due to a lack of infrastructure as well as major deficiencies in transportation services. The architects aim to transform this situation into opportunities for development.
The need for investment in transportation services and the urgent solution to the lack of infrastructure facilities are the drivers of this public and private project, which seeks to create momentum for private investment in segments which, until a few years ago, were available only to government agencies.
This project offers services of critical importance for the cities, bringing together transportation, health, education, retail and entertainment within the same location.
The innovative idea is to offer travelers and commuters the opportunity to fulfill their needs without any additional movements to their daily commute. The first development of its mind in Mexico, Mexipuerto becomes a generator of development, opportunities and solutions for more than 100,000 passengers that use its facilities every day.
