Czech architects DaM see landmark office project near completion
The Filadelfie Administration Building in the commercial heart of Prague is nearing completion, announce the projects contractors, PERI GmbH. At 17 storeys in height the building will provide 30,000 sq m of office space, and its signature four propeller-shaped form, designed by Czech architects DaM, is set to provide a new landmark for the prestigious BB Centrum administration district.
A comprehensive formwork and scaffolding solution developed by the PERI engineers has accelerated the construction progress which began in 2008. Based on flexible and adaptable models the formwork is precisely tailored to meet all structural, economic and logistic requirements and can be moved quickly and without any time-consuming dismantling following the concreting works.
With structural work almost complete there is only the internal fit-out left to do, and full completion is due later this year. Aside from office space an additional 5,000 sq m for retail and eateries will be available on the ground floor. 1,000 parking spaces as well as storage and technical facility rooms will also be located on six large-sized basement levels.
Adding to the surrounding public space, a large park, complete with a water feature, is to be developed in the vicinity of Building Filadelfie providing a lunchtime haven from hectic office life.
