Race Cottam to exhibit at leading national education exhibition
Architects Race Cottam Associates are showcasing examples of their education projects at the prestigious BSEC 2010. The practice has a growing portfolio of primary, secondary and further education schemes to exhibit at the Building Schools Exhibition and Conference (BSEC), being held in London this month.
BSEC is the only British event that caters for all those involved in school building projects - architects, teachers, builders, ICT specialists, Local Authority heads, sub-contractors and suppliers. Race Cottam has just completed four schools in Bradford, West Yorkshire, as part of the government’s £20 billion Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.
The Sheffield-based practice was appointed by EduCo, a joint venture between leading UK construction firm Costain and multinational Ferrovial Agromán, to deliver Delius and Chellow Heights special educational needs (SEN) schools and Phoenix SEN and Merlin Top primary schools on a further same site scheme in Bradford.
Simon Noblet, regional director for Race Cottam, said: “Through this important exhibition we hope to showcase our approach and creative thinking that is at the heart of our work. Last year was our first time at the event and it proved an extremely useful showcase for our work to a wider audience and to strengthen our position in the market.”
Thousands of people are expected to attend the two-day exhibition and conference taking place on February 24 and 25 at Excel, London.
