Glasgow's Ingram Street awarded full planning permission

After many years as a vacant site, the stage is set to complete the City Hall block in the Merchant City in Glasgow and so provide the final piece of the jigsaw which will see the Ingram Street block deliver its full potential.

The proposed development of a 200 bed hotel along with a mix of street level retail shells seeks to repair the urban grain and to repair the urban fabric by delivering a development which respects and addresses the scale, massing and heritage of the surrounding buildings, while at the same time makes a bold architectural statement through a built form. It embraces a palette of modern materials, skilfully worked to make a dynamic and innovative contribution to the Merchant City.
