What does DDA compliant mean??! The stairs illustrated don't even comply with the building regulations let alone the guidance on good practice in BS8300:2009!

DDA Compliant Perforated Stair Treads, Visually Contrasting Nosing. High non‐slip properties, durable finish 

Designed to accommodate Building Regulations Document M & DDA Requirements, the Elefant® O5-M Stair treads are manufactured from 100% recyclable steel, fabricated to bespoke sizes. Hot Dipped Galvanised to BS EN 1461:2009
The treads can be manufactured up to 1800mm wide designed for public loading as per BS 6399: Part 1: 1996. Supplied with cranked rear riser or straight riser & visually contrasting nosing by means of Polyester Powder Coated Finish to any RAL colour.
High unidirectional non-slip properties* combined with stiletto proof 5mm raised/depressed perforations; ensure the product maintains good drainage at all time.
Recently specified and supplied for the Olympic Main Stadium escape stairs by Populous
(formerly HOK)

  • Non Slip Test in accordance with BS 7976 Part 2: 2002 Pendulum Testing.
