Marketplace and restaurant come together in Anonimous-LED design
Located on Acapulco, Gro. Mexico at the shopping mal “La Isla” a 224 m2 local is divided in 3 programs: a market space of 40 sq m, a dining area of 118 sq m and kitchen of 66 sq m.
La trainera was born as a seafood market for locals. The quality of the products encouraged La trainera to expand from a seafood market to a restaurant. Upon this expansion Anonimous-LED architects were commissioned to redesign the space emphasising the synergy between the market and the restaurant.
In doing this the architects divided the given space into an open showcase
for the fresh seafood where patrons of the restaurant would be able to see the produce and activity of the market space.
All activity begins at the main access, inside the wooden seafood market structure representing the produce itself with gill like expositions in the interior walls.
Blue, gray and black tones relate to the branding of the Trainera.
