Rumours of new practice as take-over rejected
Following an attempted take over of the Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) London office in early summer the five principals involved in the bid have today left the practice with immediate effect.
Lee Polisano, David Leventhal, Karen Cook, Ronaldus Bakker and Fred Pilbrow have left the firm following the rejection of their bid on what is said to be a 'mutual agreement' with the firm and are rumoured to be setting up their own practice. A source at KPF said, "We understand that that's the case."
The most significant departure is that of Lee Polisano who was both President of KPF internationally, with firms in New York, Shanghai and Hong Kong, and founding partner of the London office. He said: “It’s been an honour and a privilege to work at KPF and we look forward to this new chapter in our careers”.
A. Eugene Kohn, Chairman, founding partner of KPF and head of KPF’s London office said: “I’d like to thank the five individuals for their contributions to KPF and wish them the best for the future.”
The London office, responsible for such projects as the Victoria Transport Interchange and the Gravesend Riverside renewal, has over 200 staff but the source denied that the departures would cause chaos at the office, instead advising that the departures could mean either internal promotions or external job creation adding that the firm would "look at all opportunities and all of the options - things will become clearer in the coming weeks."
