Sustainable 24-Hour mixed-use university research park wins two US awards
Abu Dhabi University Education Park (ADUEP) is an award winning master plan for an university research park. ADUEP recently won awards from the Boston Society of Architects in Urban Planning with a citation for Consideration of Climate Conditions, and an Honor Award from the Society of College and University Planning and the American Institute of Architects' Committee on Architecture for Education.
Built upon the most successful models of university research parks from around the world, ADUEP will contain research and development labs, business incubators, and affiliated offices along with retail services and residential units to create a 24 hour pedestrian friendly environment as an extension to the Abu Dhabi University campus. In a mutually supportive environment, opportunities are created for both the academic world and the business world. Within this model, ADUEP will be the first of its kind in the Middle East.
