Duinhof Cemetery in Lisse, Netherlands is under construction
The design for the extension of the Duinhof cemetery consists of total integration of landscape, graves, wall graves, buildings and five mausoleums.
bureauSLA designed an administration building for the site with a budget of 400,000 € which is currently under construction on the site in Lisse, the Netherlands.
The design of the office space adapts itself discreetly to the landscape plan, designed by P2 landschapsarchitecten, though, through a natural slope of the terrain, has a 20 meters long stone wall hanging on an interior patio, creating a natural entrance for the garage/storage.
Nests of stones are piled to create the walls integrating the building into its surroundings and its impressive hanging stone wall becomes a feature within the grounds.
