Willkinson Eyre Architects and Multi Development announces design review decision for the Bath Interchange
Multi Development UK Ltd have today announced that they have concluded the 8-week design review period of the rotunda section of the £13million Transport Interchange, which will link bus and rail services in Bath.The developers of the £360 million SouthGate regeneration scheme in Bath’s city centre today said “after a very detailed review period and consultation with the Urban Regeneration Panel, there is consensus that the general design of the new bus interchange and its rotunda section, will remain largely unchanged. Some refinements will be made to upgrade certain elements of the building, however all parties involved agree we should proceed with the detailed design much as planned."
Construction is continuing both on the SouthGate development and the Transpor t Interchange. On Sunday, the temporary bus station at Avon Street opened; from which First will operate from then until the new bus station is ready in 2009.
