Arabella Lennox-Boyd's half-acre roof garden is the crowning glory of prestigious City of London building Number One Poultry, designed by James Sterling.

Number One Poultry is situated in the heart of the capital, close to St Paul's Cathedral, the Gherkin, the NatWest Tower and other striking landmarks. The garden at Number One Poultry has a triangular area protruding from the main roof terrace, boasting spectacular views over the city. At the apex of the garden is a geometric composition of clipped box hedge, vibrant lawns and specially commissioned stone spheres. In the main section of the roof terrace, a circular wisteria and vine-clad pergola with planting encloses the atrium void. The pergola also includes grapevines and crab apple trees for the kitchen at Conran restaurant Coq d'Argent and carefully selected serpentine planters that provide shelter for al fresco diners. The garden at Number One Poultry was implemented in 1995, and has since won numerous awards, including The British Association of Landscape Industries Principle Award in 1998.
