Known as “America’s Team,” the Dallas Cowboys are a global brand, commanding unequaled media coverage and an international following. No brand remains more dynamic in nature with a single-minded focus to excel. The Dallas Cowboys are progressive and innovative in their approach to sports development, fan experience, marketing and communication through all media.
In recognition of the time-honored traditions and dynamic nature of the Dallas Cowboys, the facility is comprised of a modern palette of simple forms and materials that creates a fittingly progressive architectural expression.
Long, sweeping forms – experienced in the building plan, elevation and section – produce an awareness of grace and agility that dominate the venue. This consistency and simplicity of form is integral to the building’s modern statement.
Two structural steel arches, each spanning the entire 1,290 ft length of the stadium, frame the end zones and come to rest on massive concrete abutments in the approach plazas.
Opening along the monumental arches and end zones, the retractable roof panels travel over 400 ft along the length of the arches to rest in the open position.
A striking aluminum canopy stretches across the exterior façade. The canopy serves as a modern architectural transition between the canted glass wall and the stone base which wraps the building.
The Cowboys Stadium stands as a monumental physical expression of the team; dominant and powerful in stature, simple and purposeful in nature. Its architecture dwells in modernism – purity of form, structural expression, functional clarity and true innovation. No architectural expression is more appropriate for the Dallas Cowboys.
