Hamiltons' proposals for a leisure and conferencing building at Solstice Park have received planning permission

The building includes a swimming pool, gym, squash courts, restaurants, conferencing and external tennis courts. The building will incorporate a combined heat and power plant and will benefit from both natural and assisted ventilation. The design comprises a three storey building of approximately 3500m² (38000sqft). The building is heavily serviced by mechanical and electrical engineering services and by kitchens and storage rooms. These service areas have been organised on the building flanks, feeding towards the middle. The building is therefore organised by centralised circulation of people and perimeter distribution of services. This generates a simple, well ordered pavillion form building.
