Corus Entertainment Offices and Studios

The Corus Entertainment building mediates the industrial part of Toronto’s waterfront - future residential development. Diamond and Schmitt Architects designed this building which engages the public and animates what is currently an underutilized section of the waterfront.

The scheme employs a variety of sustainable initiatives including green roofs, certified wood, low emitting materials, light pollution reduction and rainwater reuse. The atrium, which is also used for displacement ventilation, incorporates a living bio-filter wall to achieve an standard of indoor air quality. Heat reclamation, building automation systems, including occupancy and daylight sensors; help to improve the energy efficiency of the building.
