Boutique offices take inspiration from historic tower

Architect Buckley Gray Yeoman has completed a boutique B1 office building in St Helier, the capital of Jersey in the Channel Islands. The brief was to create a showpiece office that would provide a modern, contemporary space for the client, a local surveying business. Architect Richard Buckley recognised the importance of staying true to the architecture of Jersey, and so took his inspiration from the historic Martello Tower fortification found on the Island. In doing so he combined solid stone work and the lightness of glass.
