With more than 20% reduction in CO2 emissions, BDP aim to help turn Tottenham Hale into a sustainable community

BDP has secured outline planning for the Hale Village development on the 4.95 ha site adjacent to Tottenham Hale Station. The area has long been an area in need of serious regeneration and the Brownfield site in Haringey presents a major regeneration opportunity for the whole of North London. The mixed-use development comprises in addition to 1210 residential units, commercial and retail floorspace, a primary school and crèche, a health centre, a hotel, retail floorspace, student accommodation, significant areas of high quality greenspace, underground car parking and cycle parking. Most of the buildings will contain green roofs, and further steps have been taken to maximize environmental benefits as well as a range of social infrastructure improvements. 30% of the new housing will be affordable and the inclusion of student accommodation will help to provide a tenant mix thus contributing to Government aspirations for Sustainable Communities.
