Hubert & Roy turn the 1970's Tower 9 into a contemporary building
The refurbishment of the URSSAF high rise office block, which was built in the 1970s, reflects the town council's desire to revitalise the town centre: a theatre, a shopping centre, public spaces and housing units.
The outbuildings on the ground floor have been cleared in order to open up the public space that will link the new facilities. The project provides for breaking up the base of the office block with large gardens situated four meters below, thus bringing natural light below.
Modified facades, provide an optimistic, gay and colourful appearance to the former prefabricated concrete elements.
