looks out of scale for Bangalore. and overdone in any case. a metro station is comparable to a bus stop and should not be treated an opportunity for architects to make a statement

The station is located at the junction of Old Madras Road and Indiranagar 80 Foot Road. While it is seen along its length while traveling along Old Madras Road, it is seen front on when approaching from 80 Foot Road. The design intent was to introduce a sense of lightness to the station and to reduce the overall obtrusiveness of the elevated metro rail. The rectangular section of the station profile is converted into a lightweight skin and rotated, with the angle of rotation reversing at differing points of the station length. This creates rhythmic solid and void spaces in the façade and thus translates into an interesting play of light on the inside. On the outside this creates a level of dynamism and variety along the length of the station façade. The dynamism is further accentuated by the subtle integration of varying levels of transparency on the skin to dramatize the quality of light when view both from the inside by day and from the outside by night.
