Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners get the go-ahead from British Land to build Leadenhall

British Land has given the go-ahead for the plans to construct the Leadenhall Building, part of their £4 billion development programme for the Broadgate and Bishopsgate areas in the City of London.

At 224m, the £286 million Leadenhall Building would be one of the financial centre's tallest buildings on completion in 2011. The 47-storey tower has planning permission and demolition is under way of the existing building on site.
