Apartment of terraced garden
The construction work of Sajjed Boshera a 9-storey apartment building at Sylhet has started. Reza & Company is the developer of this residential building, the second project in Holy City Sylhet designed by 98° architectural studio. Increasing demand for apartments in the developing city of Sylhet is, unlike other cities, creating a demand in the housing business. This pressure has instigated this luxurious apartment within the Housing Estate residential area. According to the developer, the estimated completion date of the project is June 2010.
The project contains two living units at each level with ground level parking. Hanging balconies are to act as buffer for subtropical solar radiation. Layered green and open terraces are designed to cultivate out-door activities for the inhabitants.
As the upper level living units always remain detached from the ground area the architects had initiated to reduce this gap by making slight change in the arrangement. Some space for rooftop gardening and open terrace has produced a radical impact in the spatial and architectural expression of the project. This will enhance the substantial as well as the psychological comfort of the living environment.
