Stephen Fletcher Architects give apartment contemporary life whilst retaining Edwardian elegance
Stephen Fletcher Architects were commissioned to transform a tired mansion flat into an elegant contemporary apartment. Although the layout remains largely the same as the original (with a central corridor accessing the principal areas), extensive structural alterations were carried-out to raise and widen doorways, and combine some of the smaller spaces. This required close liason with The Cadogan Estate. The finished result incorporates extensive Wenge joinery and floorboards, limestone bathrooms, Dornbracht taps and a Bulthaup kitchen. A feeling of space has been maximised by the opening-up of vista's throughout the flat.
