Approval granted for classical design care home in Jersey
Robert Adam Architects have been given approval for a new classical design care home in Jersey designed with JS Livingston Architectural Services, for Barchester Healthcare Ltd. This is the second classical healthcare building designed by Robert Adam Architects to recently be granted permission, following the approval of St Andrews Healthcare in Northampton. This adds to the growing number of planning permissions awarded for new traditional and classical buildings in the UK.
Robert Adam of Robert Adam Architects, leaders in the field of traditional architecture, and Jersey based architect Rob Williams of JS Livingston Architectural Services, have designed a classical building, simple and understated generating gravitas through the use of proportion and detailing.
Robert Adam commented, “Working with local Jersey architect Rob Williams, we have designed this traditional style care home to have a presence and provide interest at a very important location seen by people arriving by air. It is a simple classical building in stucco and stone, that fits the brief from Barchester Healthcare Ltd.”
