designSpace win National award for their first project
Highfield House is located on a hill overloking the market town of Penistone, South Yorkshire. A double curved sedum planted roof sits the building into its landscape of the rolling Yorkshire Hills. The upside down plan and first floor terrace capture the distant views. A self build project it has recently won The Daily Telegraph/ Homebuilding & Renovating magazine award for best DIY project.
