365 Shopping Center is designed not just as a shopping center, but a social center for the neighbourhood
The main design criteria of the building, which is located in the residential district of Ankara, is to create a community center as an urban attraction center that would reply to the social and commercial needs of the residents. The site is located in a region defined as green area by the municipality. As an outcome, the building is aimed to integrate with the existing green area with the landscape project.
The building is planned as five floors composed of two basement floors including D.I.Y. store and indoor parking and three floors comprised of hypermarket, shops, restaurants and food court. The places, which have interaction with the exterior, are designed as restaurants and cafes; while the hypermarket and shops are located at the rear area. The food court area is aimed to integrate with exterior by the open terrace on the third floor. The interior of the building is dominated by a huge elliptical skylight. One of the main aims of the design is to obtain spatial continuity horizontally and vertically by the open galleries. The food court, terrace and restaurants which are oriented to the green area and Ankara panorama are believed to create an enjoyable atmosphere for the customers.
