Key London site gets £7.2 million, six floor, high spec office complex
A new headquarters building for the trade union Prospect located at 8 Leake Street, Grimshaws Eurostar terminal at Waterloo Railway station, London. The new building will be prominent in the new public realm schemes for the area. The brief called for a minimum of 25,000 sq ft net lettable office space on six storeys.
The design for New Prospect House is a considered response to a comprehensive brief and a small, constricted, central London site. The accommodation comprises six levels of high-spec office space. Despite the strong and complex form, the building provides a high quality, flexible and humane working environment that meets specific client needs and responds in scale to its neighbours, whilst at the same time enhancing the quality of the streetscape in this important changing location.
