Aleksandar design group’s new tower
A new residential tower building is proposed in the “tower” precinct of Forster on the north coast of NSW. The design incorporates 23 serviced apartments over 10 storeys, with an extensive roof top entertaining area and pool. The form of the building is generated by opening up to view corridors to the coast toward the north and district views to the south. Both elevations are fully glazed, with oversized balconies extending internal living spaces outside. With a maximum of three units per floor, the majority of the units are orientated north and all are cross ventilated. Wet areas are centralised to simplify vertical servicing and to maximise habitable spaces to the external walls. A sustainable agenda is inherent to the design, with water saving and energy efficient devices to be used throughout and rainwater to be collection and reused on site.
