Dusit Residence Dubai Marina opens in Dubai
Eid celebrations were in full swing in Dubai, with the opening of Dusit Residence Dubai Marina, on Wednesday 1st October 2008. The venture is owned by the Bangkok-based Thai hospitality chain Dusit International; it is the company’s first branded residential project, outside Thailand.
The 35-storey residential tower is located at the hub of ‘New’ Dubai. It contains a total of 146 serviced apartments, which overlook the Dubai Marina, not to mention hot spots such as the Mall of the Emirates, the Gold and Diamond Park, Emirates and Montgomery golf courses, and Jumeirah Beach, all of which are at a walking distance from the tower.
The occasion of Eid was made a memorable event for Dusit Residence’s first guests, as they were treated to Thai cuisine and beverages, created by Thai Chef Surasing Viratsakul, also known as Chef X. Together with Executive Sous Chef Vee, the duo has developed three food outlets at the residential tower, namely Dusit Gourmet, Fusion Lounge and a casual dining restaurant.
When asked about Dusit International’s future plans, Mr Sam-Erik Ruttmann, Regional Vice President, Middle East, said “Dusit Residence Dubai Marina is part of an exciting collection of Dusit properties opening throughout the Middle East. Dusit Thani Lakeview Cairo will open shortly with future hotels in Abu Dhabi and Palm Jumeirah Dubai.” Rukmini Kamat
