Sixty six distinguished projects unveiled at the American Architecture Awards

The cream of world architecture projects from architects with offices in the United States of America have been unveiled. The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd. announced sixty-six new distinguished buildings selected this year in the Museum’s ninth prestigious awards ceremony.

This year’s submission ranged from new corporate headquarters and skyscrapers, to urban planning projects and multi-family housing.

Mr. Narkiewicz-Laine Director of the The Chicago Athenaeum commented: “The wide geographic distribution of these awards attests to the importance of the program.”

With the jury of the American Architecture Awards taking place abroad, this year the panel was based in Athens, Greece with the participation of noted Greek architectural practitioners, educators, government leaders, and architecture journalists serving as jury members including architects Maro Kardamitsi-Adami, Pavlos Doukas.
