Private residence designed to go unnoticed
Conceived of as a reductivist art sculpture as well as a space for exhibiting the extensive art collection of the owner, the Bintong Park Residence floats on its own stone "pedestal" over a reflecting pool.
Ministry of Design's inaugural architecture work explores the central notions of tropically acclimated space and a rigor of detailing that renders itself invisible – thus seeking to celebrate the experience of the building and rituals of life it houses but not the building itself.
