Controversial plans for a new river-side development in London have been given a green light thanks to the intervention of UK Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott who over-ruled a previous planning refusal. A new “village” will be created comprising 821 homes (both private and affordable), shops, a new transport infrastructure and riverside open space, connecting Lots Road neighbourhood on one side of Chelsea Creek..............more
Major plans to refurbish Bart’s and the London Royal hospitals have moved a step nearer today. The £1.1million project, designed by HOK involves the upgrading of two of London’s most significant hospital locations and has been four years in the planning. ‘Orwellian’ control for traffic: A UK ‘think tank’ has produced a radical report on the future of transport in the next 50 years.
