Secrets of the Pyramids revealed
Heneghan Peng unviel Grand Museum plans
Designs have just been revealed for the Grand Museum of Egypt in Cairo. After the ‘fairytale’ competition win by Dublin based firm Heneghan Peng over 1550 architects from 83 countries. 2005 Stirling Awards. Six finalists have been selected for the UK’s premier annual award for architecture, the Stirling Award named after James Stirling 1926-1992. Alsop Design Ltd, Bennetts Associates with Lomax Cassidy + Edwards, O’Donnell + Tuomey, Zaha Hadid Architects, Foster and Partners and EMBT / RMJM Ltd. The winner of the 2005 RIBA Stirling Prize will be announced on Saturday 15th October.....more
 
Life after prison. Pentridge Prison Redevelopment Masterplan has been conceived as a vibrant new urban village within Coburg, consistent with Moreland City Council's Coburg 2020 vision and principles established in Melbourne 2030. London transport hub. The Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) has completed the major construction work required for the new Thameslink ‘box’ beneath St Pancras station in London. The box forms the shell for a new station which will ultimately replace King’s Cross Thameslink station......more
 
Battle rages in London's streets. The ongoing dispute over the rights and wrongs of façade retention was taken to new heights by this project at 221a Baker Street, London.
