Each year, Toronto hosts a number of art fairs, but Toronto Art Expo stands out for being the largest and most diverse in terms of creative styles on view. Over 200 Canadian and international artists and galleries display work by well-known and up-and-coming talents, ranging from traditional to contemporary. Among the highlights will be Takesada Matsutani who has been invited to perform his art on opening night. The renowned Paris-based artist will suspend a bag filled with black ink and then puncture small holes in the bag, allowing the ink to spill onto a well-placed canvas. Nearby, more static graphite drawings by Matsutani will be on display.
