Having been touched by the Haitian earthquake of January 12th 2010, Bill Snyder was compelled to do something. Through CEFPI he joined an assessment and design team working in conjunction with Schools for the Children of the World (SCW) and the Spanish Red Cross.
He traveled as a part of a 10-person team in early August 2010, to evaluate damage and begin the planning efforts for the construction of 11 new schools in Leogane, Haiti. Since then he has made several trips and is continuing the work to replace the schools that were destroyed by the earthquake. Hear more about his experiences and the team's efforts to complete this important project under the most difficult of conditions.
