Description As part the Mayor's Story of London Festival 2010, English Heritage and NLA have organised a special look at how London developed as a city and how this impacts on the design and shape of the capital in the future.

Morning talks by Andrew Saint, editor of The Survey of London, Mark Brearley, Head of Design for London, and a tour around the Pipers Central London model with Peter Murray, Chairman of NLA. This will be followed by a trip on a vintage Routemaster bus, taking in some key sites of innovation in London - past, present and future - guided by Joe Kerr, bus driver and Head of Department of Critical & Historical Studies at the RCA.
