Norman Foster will deliver the 2010 Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Trust Annual Discourse on Tuesday 12 October 2010, 6.30pm at the RIBA, entitled Performance.
Established in 1957, the Annual Discourse’s central remit is to invite distinguished international speakers to address themes and issues relating to a wider context. In this year’s lecture, Lord Foster reflects on the issues explored in his early works and how these have evolved through the global practice that he now chairs – a period spanning more than four decades. He links these to the wider issues of today such as designing for a low carbon world and his personal passions for art, automobiles, aviating, cycling and cross-country skiing.
The event is part of the autumn programme of the 'International Dialogues: Architecture and Climate Change' talks series, sponsored by Gleeds and in partnership with Bioregional One Planet Communities®.
