Description Sir Simon Milton, Deputy Mayor, will give the keynote address at this NLA half-day conference looking at future planning for the growth in London's hotel capacity.

The hotel industry is experiencing a period of significant growth and investment as London gears up to become Olympic host city. Visitor services play a vital role in London's economy and provide significant regenerative impacts, as reflected in the call for 40,000 net additional bedrooms by 2031 in the Mayor's London Plan.

This morning conference will examine the strategic policy for visitor accommodation in the capital, look at the process of attracting hotel investment and examine some of the best recent and upcoming examples of hotel design.
