Architect J. Robert Hillier to speak at United Nations global event

Description J. Robert Hillier, FAIA, founder and chairman of Hillier Architecture, a 350-person international design firm based in Princeton, New Jersey, will speak at the United Nations special event, “Our Common Humanity in the Information Age: Principles and Values for Development,” on Weds., Nov. 29th at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The global meeting will bring together eminent personalities from all regions of the world to reiterate the message of common humanity and need for mutual cooperation, as outlined in the Millennium Declaration, a set of values and principles adopted by Heads of State and Government five years ago.

The event will be broadcast live on the United Nations website www.un.org/webcast.

Mr. Hillier, an advocate for affordable housing, preservation of open space and environmentally and culturally sustainable development, will address the architect’s role in preserving natural resources during a panel discussion from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
