The Museum of Modern Art and P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center will announce plans for Rising Currents: Projects for New York’s Waterfront—a six-month project organized by MoMA and P.S.1 that launches in mid-November with an architects-in-residence workshop for four teams of architects, engineers, and landscape designers who will create infrastructure solutions to make New York more resilient in response to rising water levels and to protect eco-systems. The resulting proposals will be presented in an exhibition at MoMA in spring 2010.
