An evening with John McAslan + Partners, the second of Adrem's 'intimate sessions', will take place during the Clerkenwell and City hub for the London Festival of Architecture on 17th July 2008. Nicely scheduled to take place before the Clerkenwell Party on the Green, John McAslan + Partners will present a short talk to coincide with their exhibition at the dreamspace gallery, Beginnings: Projects from the RIBA/ICE McAslan Bursary. Previous Bursary winners Julia King and Asif Khan will share the experiences of their project, One-Year House, which provided refugee housing on the Thailand-Burma border. The presentation and and Q&A will give our small audience an opportunity to learn more about the Bursary scheme and explore the effects the Bursary has had on improving life in deprived communities in the UK and overseas. Hear how these small-scale interventions have kick-started larger-scale projects, such as a programme to design schools in Malawi.
Join us for a glass of wine and to celebrate the dreamspace gallery's first birthday. Places are limited to keep it intimate and are by reservation only. Contact Chloe Brooks at email@example.com for more information.
