The Sustainable Environment Foundation conference, ‘Living in a Low Carbon World’, will be held on the 17th April 2008 at the Royal Geographical Society in London. The interactive one-day event will feature key figures from across industry, politics and academia who will explore the actions necessary to substantially reduce the impact of the built environment on climate change.
Sustainable Environment Foundation Chairman and CEO of Quintain Estates, Adrian Wyatt, commented: “It is our responsibility to drive environmental change by developing and promoting programmes and advanced technologies that will reduce carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions, and create clean and sustainable urban environments.”

Chaired by James Naughtie of BBC Radio 4's Today Programme, the conference will bring together more than 20 world renowned industry and political leaders to discuss the global challenges facing industry and the solutions to combating climate change. Featured speakers include Secretary of State for the Environment, Hilary Benn (invited); Adrian Wyatt, OBE, Chairman, Sustainable Environment Foundation and Chief Executive Officer, Quintain Estates and Development PLC; Zac Goldsmith, editor, The Ecologist; and Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Chief Executive Officer, Masdar, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (see below for a full list of participants).
