A Senior Principal of Populous based in London, Nicholas has worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from sports and leisure to, commercial and residential whilst specialising in broadcast and media facilities. Since joining Populous in 1996, Nicholas has worked in the then Sydney office on the ANZ Stadium, venue for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
After returning to England Nicholas has worked as project designer and design team leader responsible for the All England Lawn Tennis Club facilities within Wimbledon Centre Court, a sensitive refurbishment of the listed Wembley Arena, and a new multipurpose arena for the city of Bristol. He has worked on projects in Spain for Real Madrid CF, and a unique training centre, featuring indoor and outdoor sports facilities including tennis, athletics, swimming and health & fitness in Murcia, Spain.
As Project Leader for the O2 Arena, Nicholas oversaw a revolutionary scheme involving the construction of a 23,000 seat arena within the Millennium Dome, Greenwich. This exciting project is one of Europe's leading indoor venues, with state of the art arena facilities for a great variety of entertainment, sport and leisure events.
