Jonathan is Managing Director at Bond Bryan Architects.
He attended Newcastle University and became a registered architect in 1989. Jonathan joined Bond Bryan in 1988 and has spent the majority of his career working at the practice; two years were spent on secondment at a development company delivering a major project for Sheffield Hallam University.
He is responsible for the internal design review of Bond Bryan’s more significant projects; he also provides director oversight of the practice’s Knowledge Group that offers strategic consultancy to owner operators of large-scale estates. He has over 20 years experience at Bond Bryan and has worked for a range of education clients as well as within other sectors.
He has worked with such institutions as City of Wolverhampton College, Wirral Metropolitan College, Matthew Boulton College, Aylesbury College and York College.
He has a wealth of experience in the development of property strategies for large-scale institutions (for example Westminster Kingsway College and Glasgow School of Art) and in addition has led studies into learning space management within Further Education (commissioned by The Learning & Skills Council).
Jonathan chairs two of Bond Bryan’s Executive Groups: the Business Development Group and the Design Group.
