KISHO KUROKAWA architect & associates, established in 1962 by Kisho Kurokawa, has　provided numerous number of architectural design works representing the respective time. Upon the decease of Kisho in 2007, Mikio Kurokawa carried on his will to succeed his position representing the firm.

The firm's major projects include the Zhengdong New Town Master Plan (Zhengzhou City, China), Master Plan for the New Capital Astana (Kazakhstan), National Art Center, Tokyo (Japan), New Wing of the Van Gogh Museum (the Netherlands), Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Malaysia), Nakagin Capsule Tower (Japan), Fusionopolis @one north (Singapore), Nazarbayev University Master Plan (Kazakhstan), Maggie's South West Wales Centre (Swansea, UK) and Toyota Stadium (Japan). Throughout its 50 years of practice, the firm's projects won a number of domestic and international awards. Recent winning awards include 2012 RIBA Awards for Maggie's South West Wales Centre, Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Award 2006 and Good Design Award (Japan) 2008 for National Art Centre Tokyo.
