Stephen Pimbley graduated from the Royal College of art in 1984 and worked for periods in London with Richard Rogers Partnership and Troughton MacAslan. He joined Will Alsop in 1990 and as a director and subsequent partner worked on many significant award winning buildings, including Hotel du Department des Bouches du Rhone in Marseilles and Cardiff Bay Barrage. Stephen was also responsible for setting up Alsop's Rotterdam office and led the masterplanning team for Rotterdam's central railway district. Subsequently Stephen established Alsop's 3 Asian studios where he has been predominantly based for the last nine years. He has been the principal, creative director and inspiration in the development of this very successful part of the Archial Group, now branded 'SPARCH'. Projects led by Stephen include Clark Quay regeneration in Singapore, Raffles City Beijing and Raffles City Ningbo in China, Raffles City Singapore regeneration, Solaris and Vision City shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur.
