Director at Hines

Mark Swetman from international real estate firm Hines, is project director for Cannon Place, a new speculative 400,000 sq ft net office building in the City core which is due to complete in Autumn 2011. This office is designed to meet the occupational needs of major City occupiers with large 50,000 sq ft NLA floor plate. This project will continue with the City of London's goal of delivering the right style of business space accommodation to ensure London maintains its position as the No 1 international financial centre.

Mark has over 15 years of property development experience, the majority of which has been acting as principal either at a major local REIT or as private real estate developer. Since 2000, Mark has specialised in office development in the City of London and has been involved in over 3m sq ft of build development and over 5m sq ft of future schemes. The roles undertaken for each scheme run from purchase, through planning and construction to leasing and eventual sale. Each project has differing financing methods appropriate to the scheme which also require careful management.
