Dave is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 35 years experience in the transportation sector in the UK and overseas. For the past 20 years he has been leading multidisciplinary design teams delivering rail projects both as Project Manager and Project Director. He has also fulfilled the role of Technical Expert providing advice to clients on the development of railway and other transport schemes including methods of procuring construction, operations and maintenance.

He has worked on both the Thameslink and the Crossrail projects from the early 90's and was WSP's Project Director for the design of Crossrail Bond Street Station from 2009 to 2012 and the GRIP 4 design for London Bridge Station from 2011 to 2012. His experience includes the redevelopment and enhancement of many major stations including Paddington, Birmingham New Street, Charing Cross and Waterloo. He is now Technical Advisor to the GRIP 5 design team on London Bridge Station and has recently been leading the tender design for a consortium of Brazilian Contractors on the Doha Metro.

Dave is the Chairman of The ACE Rail Special Interest Group and is a Past Chairman of the ICE Railway Civil Engineers Association.
