Peter heads 3DReid's Award winning Transport Group and Process & Distribution Group. He has established himself as one of the country's leading specialists in the transport sector, regularly speaking at major industry conferences on topics such as sustainability, procurement, refurbishment and airport cities.
He has over 20 years of experience in the airports sector, with projects ranging from large hubs to small regional airports and covering locations throughout the UK as well as Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, South America and the Caribbean. He has an exceptional understanding as well as a keen interest in the political, business and stakeholder drivers involved in airport design.
Peter's knowledge has been essential in developing the company's research base and skills to support strategic master planning, due diligence and development programmes, as well as individual projects including terminals, ATC towers, hangars and cargo facilities. His experience has also been key in developing a particular approach to suit the growing interest in the development of FBO and VIP facilities.
In parallel, Peter also has over 20 years' experience in the industrial sector and has extensive knowledge of the needs of the sector extending to general distribution and manufacturing. He has been at the forefront of the environmental debate and was an associate member of the Industrial Developers Sustainability Forum.
Peter sees sustainability, innovation and research as key to improving and maintaining the quality of architecture as well as acting as a catalyst for new work and has a keen interest in helping the industry reduce its environmental impact. Some key innovations have been the creation of AirSpace; an innovative approach to low cost terminal provision, Plug-in-Office; a cost effective prefabricated office component and EcoBox a carbon neutral warehouse model and a model for a carbon positive aviation terminal.
