Biljana Savic is an architect and urban planner based in London, with over twenty years of professional experience gained in architectural and urban design practices, construction management and property consultancies, public and third sector advisory bodies in the UK and abroad.
In her current post as the Urban Programme Manager at The Prince's Foundation for Building Community, she leads a major government-funded programme of support to communities across England engaged in developing neighbourhood plans. Prior to joining The Prince's Foundation, Biljana worked as a Senior Advisor at The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE), leading a number of programmes of public sector client support in the fields of urban design, housing and community engagement. While at CABE Biljana also fronted the work on large scale urban design methodology and project pilots. Previous to joining CABE, she was a Director of Space Syntax Limited, a spatial analysis and masterplanning consultancy based in London.
Biljana has lectured at several urban design courses in the UK and Germany and presented at a number of national and international conferences on the subjects of large scale urban design, spatial analysis and movement studies, housing in growth and renewal areas, as well as national and local design support structures.
She passionately advocates the importance of good design and planning as a means to improving quality of life for all.
