Ulrich Pfammatter (born 1945 in Zurich) was lecturer at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), Department of Architecture for history of building technologies and teached design and construction at the architectural schools of Lucerne, Chur and Berne. After completing his formal training as an architect at the ETH in Zurich he went on to get practical experience in design, planning and building research, followed by work as a journalist for a building trade magazine and an assistantship at the ETH, before earning a masters in art degree in philosophy from the University of Zurich. He published in history of building culture, building technology and sustainable building design.
